For the first few days, the mosquito populations decreased, but it increased again. I discover that, if I move it from time to time, it works better.
Quality is good and works like a charm.
I love this thing! I plugged it in at the beginning of the summer, placed it in a central location, and let it run 24/7, it has caught about 90% of the mosquitos that have found their way into my house Be aware that this trap can't compete with me when it comes to attracting mosquitoes; if the trap and I are in close proximity, the mosquito will choose me every time.
I have several of this item and all work well. The trap needs to run continuously because when you turn it off, any mosquitoes still living will just fly out (mosquiitoes are trapped by the fan/vacuum but not killed right away).
This is ok but not great
After some research, I got one of these AERO Mosquito trap, which works using the same lures and killing method as the other traps
The AERO seems to be working to expectations. After a week on the job, I see no more flying bugs and mosquitoes
I'm glad to be rid of them, and in the case of moths, so are my woolen clothes and blankets.
Compared to the aesthetically pleasing AERO looks more like an industrial piece than something that fits in with your home garden decor.
So, I give the AERO a two-swatters-up recommendation, but I will report back if my opinion changes.
PROS:
* Effective against moths, mosquitoes, flies, and no-see-ums
* Entirely silent in operation
* Uses three kinds of insect lure: light, mosquito attractant and CO2 emission
* Solid build quality
CONS:
* Looks like an industrial piece
